Slumdog Millionaire

For the last two weeks we have watched the movie called slumdog millionaire in geography class. In my opinion this is a great movie, because it shows people about the slums, the poverty in which people live, how the religion have an impact in people (when his mother was killed by muslims fanatics), and it also show us about what people gain in their lives expiriences, as Jamal did by anwering all those quiestions, in fact for every answer he made there was a story behind it. I recomend this movie, because its very different from the movies i have watched and I think is really good.

My First Impression of TY

In this first two weeks in transition year I have created a diferent impression from the one I had on the first day. My first impression of this transition year was that this year is really different from the others, I thought everything would be easy, but is not. During these two weeks I have realised that trasition year is to prepare us for fifth year. In transition year we are going to recieve a lot of projects, we are going to do many diferent activities on fridays, etc.
In this transition year there are some things that I whant to achieve but the most important is to improve my English. I come al the way from El Salvador with the purpose of learning and improving my english.I think that transition is the best year for an international student to come and learn english, because in this year the many activities that we have help us in a much better way to develop our skills.
In this transition year I expect to do many projects and activites, improve my english, get more involved in school stuff, be well prepared for fifth year, and the most important is to have in mind at what sbject am I good and what would i like to study in university.
